Version 2.1.0 details
This new version 2.1.0 is a significant enhancement over Version 1.0.0 releases, namely:
- Multiple tasks – It enables running three tasks as opposed to dedicating one plugin per task, namely: DocStats, UserData and ImagesList.
- Graphical user-interface – The user inter-face, considerably more user-friendly than the version 1.0.0 user-interface, relies on the Adobe UXP HTML framework.
- Real time progress indicator for long time consuming tasks – Since some tasks last up to 30 minutes to complete, a progress indicator reassures the InDesign user that the plugin is indeed working. It also display approximate time to complete.
- Dedicated HTML ReadMe page for all tasks – All tasks ran by the plugin are provided with a ReadMe HTML page which provides details as to what the task does.
- Logfile records events and errors – The InDesign user can at any time record what the plugin has done into a DocData.txt file located in the plugin’s data directory.
The above are the significant changes of version 2.1.0. This version benefits from many other changes mainly destined to improve robustness and programming maintainability.
